Five-car crash slows traffic on Main Street

Two crashes involving five cars occurred at 9:10 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and Midway Drive.
“[A] vehicle rear-ended one car, forcing it into another, forcing that one into another,” said Sgt. Michael Lewis of the Kent Police Department.
Immediately after the first crash, a fifth vehicle struck the rearmost, according to Lewis. Police responders began redirecting slowed traffic as tow crews cleared the vehicles.
He said the investigation is complete, and there were no reported injuries.
