Kent State grad third runner-up in “Miss Ohio”

Kent State University graduate Meggie Wittman was named third runner-up in the 2011 Miss Ohio Scholarship Program Saturday.

The 22-year-old vocalist from Cleveland received a $2,000 scholarship for the event. She works with the Make-A-Wish foundation as part of her personal platform for Miss Ohio.

Wittman graduated in Spring 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre studies. She played the role of Marty in the February production of “Grease” at Kent State’s E. Turner Stump Theatre.

Wittman was one of 26 contestants who competed for the title of Miss Ohio. The official title of Miss Ohio went to Ellen Bryan, a 22-year-old graduate of Ball State University from Celina.
