A commercial aircraft overran the runway at the Kent State Airport Tuesday, university spokeswoman Emily Vincent said.

Five passengers were on the plane during the landing, and none were injured, she said. The plane, a twin engine Cessna, is not a Kent State aircraft.

Vincent said although there were no injuries, emergency crews were called to respond to follow the airport’s standard procedure.
