ANNOUNCEMENT OF VOTE TALLIES
On election night, democrats gathered and waited in anticipation for results at the Italian American Club in Ravenna.
Candidate Kathleen Clyde and her family were among the group, hoping for victory in the race against Roak Zeller for Ohio House of Representatives in the sixty eighth district.
The crowd gathered when results came in.
Clyde watched anxiously.
But even with the lead…

I’M VERY NERVOUS, BUT I FEEL I’VE DONE EVERYTHING I CAN DO.
I KNOCKED ON OVER TEN THOUSAND DOORS, HELD EVENTS ALL OVER THE COUNTY AND WORKED MY HEART OUT AND RAN A CLEAN CAMPAIGN AND I HOPE THAT I COME OUT ON TOP AND I CAN DO A LOT OF HARD WORK ON BEHALF OF THIS GREAT COUNTY.
Democratic supporters stuck around past midnight for the candidate they believed in.
Democratic Headquarters Volunteer Barbara Gaskins said Clyde’s energy is part of what makes her a good candidate.

SHE HAS A GOOD BACKGROUND.
SHE’S YOUNG, BUT NOT TOO YOUNG.
SHE’S YOUNG ENOUGH THAT SHE HAS A VERY GOOD HANDLE ON WHAT’S GOING ON WITH THE COMMUNITY AND I’M VERY MUCH IN FAVOR OF KATHY.
As the night wound down and the crowd dwindled, Clyde stayed waiting for final election results.
When all the votes were tallied, Clyde came out ahead of Zeller for the house seat.
