“Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot,” Sherlock Holmes once said.

Teams have until Sept. 19 to register for “The ABC Mysteries” Sherlock Holmes scavenger hunt, hosted by Main Street Kent.

Starting in Acorn Alley on Sept. 25, teams of four will race through downtown Kent from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in search of clues from local businesses, and in an effort to win a variety of prizes.

This year’s grand prize is a weeklong stay in St. Pete Beach, Fla., courtesy of Ron Burbick. Airfare will not be included.

Mary Gilbert, executive director of Main Street Kent, said she would like at least 20 teams to participate in the fundraiser. The cost per team is $50. Registration forms can be found at www.mainstreetkent.org
