Take a stroll downtown this fall and be sure to make a stop at the Haymaker Farmers’ Market for food, artwork and live musicians.

Located under the bridge at Franklin Avenue and West Summit Street, the Market won’t disappoint.

Open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until Halloween, the 18th Annual Farmers’ Market offers the freshest produce and baked goods in the area.

Local farmers provide their own homegrown products, free of additives, preservatives and hormones.

Vendors also offer fresh breads and pastries, a variety of hummus and salsa, trail mixes, meat and eggs, jams, sweet teas, lemonade, and hot and iced coffees.

Shoppers with food allergies can even take advantage of gluten- and sugar-free selections, tastier than anything you might find in the grocery store.

If the free samples are not reason enough to visit the market, guests can listen to a live band or browse the arts and crafts.

The members of Upcycled Denim sell tote bags made from recycled jeans. Members from Sustainability for Educators and the Environment (SEE) will show you how to make your own SEEd bombs, which grow into beautiful flowers wherever you drop them.
