National Public Radio show host Carl Kasell is visiting Kent State to discuss his journalism career experiences with students today.

“He’s someone who’s been there for lots of breakthroughs in broadcast journalism,” said Ann VerWiebe from WKSU’s marketing and public relations department. “Plus, he’s a funny guy.”

Kasell hosts NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me,” a weekly humorous news quiz show. Even though he still hosts this show, he is now retired. This “veteran newsman,” as VerWiebe describes him, has a total of 50 years experience in broadcast journalism.

Students can listen to Kasell speak at 2:15 p.m. today in room 340 of Franklin Hall.
