Anthony Gallas’ dream is one step closer to becoming a reality.

The senior outfielder was signed to the Cleveland Indians Monday as an undrafted free agent after helping the Golden Flashes win four M.A.C championships and three tournament titles.

During the 2010 season, Gallas had 99 base hits and 17 home runs, boasted a .369 batting average and the most RBIs for his team at 81 — he had 176 total base hits, almost 20 more than the next leading player.

“From the time I was 7, I wanted to play for the Indians,” said Gallas in a university press release. “It’s kind of crazy, I’m actually going to be part of that organization.”

Gallas will attend the team’s extended training camp in Goodyear, Ariz., after which he will be assigned to one of the team’s minor league affiliates.
