Web site keep students, parents up to speed about swine flu in Kent
September 9, 2009
Kent State is trying to keep students, faculty and parents informed about the H1N1 virus and the seasonal flu via a link from the university Web site, at www.kent.edu/flu.
The site was launched in spring when the H1N1 virus was becoming a concern among the community. Emily Vincent, director of university media relations, said the site is sometimes updated multiple times a day as information develops. She said it contains information about prevention, flu vaccines and links to further resources.
“It’s the best way to communicate with all different audiences: students, faculty, and parents,” Vincent said. “It’s a great resource to direct people about swine flu.”
