Blood drive offers free T-shirts and burritos
September 14, 2009
Give blood and get a free burrito.
The Office of Health Promotions and LifeShare have partnered for a blood drive Tuesday through Thursday at the DeWeese Health Center.
Those interested can donate blood between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. by scheduling an appointment at http://www.lifesharedonor.org, using the sponsor code KSUMAIN. Walk-in appointments are also available.
Donors will receive a gift certificate for a burrito from Chipotle or a T-shirt. LifeShare will also give even more to Kent State students.
“What’s unique about LifeShare is that they give back in scholarships,” said Scott Dotterer, director of the Office of Health Promotions. “For every 35 units of blood donated Kent receives a $500 scholarship.”
Applications and more information about the scholarships will be available at the blood drive.
This is the first of multiple blood drives that LifeShare and the Office of Health Promotions will be holding throughout the year.
