The National Weather Service has canceled the tornado warning issued for Portage County.

Originally issued until 7:30 p.m., it was canceled at 7:17 p.m.

At 6:41 p.m., the National Weather Service doppler radar “indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado.” During tornado warnings, take shelter on the lowest level of a building.
