NAACP holds first meeting

The Kent State chapter of the NAACP will meet at 7 p.m. today in the multi-purpose room of Oscar Ritchie Hall.
KSU-NAACP President Whitney Smith said the purpose of the organization’s first “Meet and Greet” mass meeting is to show freshmen and new students what Kent State has to offer. The meeting is open to everyone.
Smith said this semester the organization is encouraging voter registration, community building and health awareness.
