Eichorn named MAC Hitter of the Week

After leading the Kent State baseball team to two victories against North Carolina last weekend, junior left fielder Kurt Eichorn was named Mid-American Conference Hitter of the Week.
Eichorn finished the weekend 6-for-11, which included two home runs, a triple, seven RBIs and five runs scored. His first home run of the series, scored Sunday in the seventh inning, was the longest homerun recorded at the UNCG Baseball Stadium. The ball flew to 410 feet.
On the season, Eichorn is hitting .341 and has a team-best five home runs. He also has 17 RBIs and 14 runs scored. In the last four games, Eichorn is 7-for-13 with eight RBIs and six runs scored. He also holds the team’s best slugging percentage with .756.
The Flashes (7-5) will return to North Carolina this weekend to complete their fifth consecutive weekend trips to the South.
