The Glass Club is hosting two visiting glass artists today and tomorrow.

Robin Schultes of the Toledo Museum of Arts and Patrick Dubreuil, a drawing professor at the University of Toledo, will perform the demonstrations.

Glass Club President Cody Thomaselli said the artists are there to demonstrate new techniques to Kent’s glass community.

Today’s demonstration begins at 7:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the Art Building and will include a slide show and lecture.

Tomorrow’s demonstration begins at 10 a.m. in room 192 of the Michael Schwartz Center. There are four one-hour sessions that include murrine and cane pulling, murrine roll up, cane drawing and hot glass sculpting. There will be an hour-and-a-half lunch break.

“Pat and Robin are successful artists who have overcome the boundaries of communication through the sculptural medium of glass,” Thomaselli said. “Come to the lecture and experience the magic of the glass studio.”
