Kent State fashion organization Modista Fashion Group is kicking off Saturday with their Roaring ‘20s-themed 20/20 Visions Fashion Show. 

“We all know 2020 is fast approaching and we wanted to do something to commemorate that and to signify us moving into whole other decade,” Modista Fashion Group President Keyanna Spann said. 

Modista will be celebrating the shift in women’s fashion that took place in the ‘20s while also giving the show a modern twist by incorporating female empowerment.

“We still have a far way to go with just making women as strong as we can be and being ourselves and celebrating what makes us extra,” Spann said. 

The fashion show is also a chance for group members to build their portfolio by showcasing their personal style and creativity. 

The event costs $10 to attend and will be held in the Rockwell Hall auditorium on Saturday. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
