TV2 returns September 13.

TV2’s new crew starts this week.

This week is practice week. The crew can be watched, but the news will not be live. Sierra Guterba, executive producer of TV2, said she hopes to broadcast live news by next week, but it could take two weeks.

TV2 had a large turnout for auditions on Wednesday and Guterba said there were more new faces than returning members. She said she didn’t recognize many upper-classman and students with majors outside the School of Journalism and Mass Communication who came to the tryouts.

Guterba said between 40 and 50 people tried out for entertainment and between 70 and 80 people for news.

After the tryouts the TV2 board chose the new cast. The process depended on a student’s talent and schedule.

TV2 can be viewed on channel 2 on campus and throughout Portage County.
