Football’s losing streak extends to five games

Kent State football (1-7) lost its fifth consecutive game on Homecoming day to Buffalo (3-5) by a 24-6 score.

KSU utilized two quarterbacks throughout the game who combined for 12-26, 78 passing yards and one interception.

Sophomore quarterback Tommy Ulatowski left the game late in the fourth quarter with an injury.

All Kent State points were scored by junior kicker Andrew Glass – making Saturday the fourth time the Flashes have only recorded points from field goals in a game this season.

Buffalo tallied 331 total yards on a 4.94 yards/play average. The Flashes totaled 164 yards, a 2.69 yards/play average.

Kent State did not record a sack and has now recorded seven team sacks in eight games.

The Flashes ended the game going 4-17 on third down and punted eight times.

Kent State will take the week off before playing at Akron on Nov. 1.
