Eclipse watchers can drop off their glasses at collection stations on campus and in downtown Kent after the main event Monday.

Kent State Today shared that donated glasses will be sent to the Portage County Recycling Center, and from there, they will be sent to Astronomers Without Borders, a group that distributes eclipse glasses nationally to underserved communities and schools in the path of future eclipses.

The Portage County Recycling Center, located at 3588 Mogadore Road in Kent, will accept eclipse glasses at a drop box in its lobby through April 19. Its offices are open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
