FAKE PADDY’S – Lydia

Lydia Taylor

Normally around 2 p.m. on Fake Paddy’s, it should mark the start of what students call “nap and rally,” when people take a break from their festivities to take a nap.

But this time, downtown remained eccentric and vibrant in green.

Groups of students and townies alike gathered in large groups to make their way from bar to bar — the ones that were open, anyways.

Others decided to take a break, grabbing a quick bite to eat at Tree City or a coffee to keep their energy high. Some jumped out of line at BarFlyy, deciding they needed food instead, running toward the nearest place with the food they craved most.

Ubers and Lyfts made their rounds, dropping off and picking up patrons all dressed in green.
