Main St., pictured here on Monday, Nov. 29, 2018.Although a large portion of this exhibit will be on display during Kent State University’s winter break from classes, Anderson Turner, the director of the School of Art collection and galleries, predicts it will still attract a large audience.“The support for the downtown space has always been more community-based … as opposed to student-based,” Turner said. “Kent is a destination now. … (The gallery is) usually pretty well-traveled at that time.”The opening reception will be Dec. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. as a part of Main Street Kent’s First Friday Art Walk.
