#MeToo National Walkout

Bridget Lin

With education being a center piece, ideas such as walkouts and rallies are having a great effect.

More specifically, around the nation today, women walked out from their work places, homes and classrooms in support of Dr. Blasey Ford, the woman testifying against Brett Kavanaugh.

The #metoo movement revolves around women standing together and bringing awareness to sexual assault.

It shows and proves that they are not alone and listening to other people speak gives them a sense of power as they stand united.

From this, the women take better control of their lives and of their stories, as they drive the narrative and as they are able to have a voice in our society.
