The Haven of Portage County hosted a community rummage sale in order to renovate a new homeless shelter in Kent.

Saturday, the organization hosted a rummage sale at the Portage Community Chapel to earn money toward renovations on a homeless shelter located across the street from Meadowview Square.

Chris Boring, a member of Haven, said there will be a charity auction Aug. 4 at the Portage Community Chapel to continue to raise money for the new shelter.
