Kent State’s College of Education, Health, and Human Services (EHHS) program ranked 99th in the U.S. News and World Report for Best Education Graduate Schools of 2018, moving up from 107.

EHHS Interim Dean Mark Kretovics said he feels it’s an exciting time for Kent State’s EHHS.

“Anytime you see a recognition like this you really see how it affects students in a positive way,” Kretovics said.

U.S. News and World Report Rankings compares all graduate schools across the United States based on 2016 data.

Kretovics said the change in rank could be attributed to the several successful program accreditations over the past year as well as the positive academic trends.

“I think it’s always nice when anyone or any part of the institution gets that national recognition,” Kretovics said. “It’s validation of the good work of faculty and graduate students do.”

Kretovics added that the excitement of the newly elected EHHS dean James Hannon, combined with the success of graduate students, means it’s a good time to acknowledge the school.
