While the 2017 NFL Draft came and went without any Kent State player hearing their name called, that doesn’t mean the graduating members of the team won’t be able to make an impact on the field, as some are expected to sign with teams as Unrestricted Free Agents.

We’ll have a complete list of the signings as they come in.

DB Najee Murray:

Murray tweeted out Saturday afternoon that he’ll be joining the Browns. Murray made an impact at Kent State after transferring from The Ohio State University.

Murray played six games with the Buckeyes in 2012 before he suffered a knee injury. He was named All-MAC first team this past season after recording 47 tackles, four of which went for a loss.

Murray also finished ninth in the nation in passes defended, and scored his first career touchdown on a 47-yard fumble recovery against Western Michigan.

DE: Terence Waugh

It was announced late Tuesday night that Waugh received an invitation to the Jacksonville Jaguars mini-camp.

Waugh was named to All-MAC First Team in 2016 after he finished second in the Mid-American Conference in tackles for loss. Waugh led the Flashes with eight sacks in 2016, as well as 15 tackles for loss.
