Kent State’s College of Nursing is celebrating its 50th birthday Jan.23 at 2 p.m. in Henderson Hall. Access to the celebratory event is first come, first serve.

As the opening of a year-long celebration within the College of Nursing, the birthday party will include a brief message from Kent State President Beverly Warren and Dr. Barbara Broom, dean of the College of Nursing.

The Kent State Men’s Chorus will be performing the university’s alma mater, as well as the classic “Happy Birthday,” according to Kathleen Norman, special events coordinator.

“It’s going to be a kick-off party for a whole year of engaging events,” Norman said.
