The final candidates for the position of Kent State Director of Athletics were announced in an email from President Todd Diacon Wednesday.

The three candidates for the position are Margaret McKinley, executive senior associate director of athletics/senior woman administrator at the University of Cincinnati; Jude A. Killy, deputy director of athletics and chief of staff at Miami University; and Randale L. Richmond, senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University.

“The finalists were recommended by a 12-member search committee chaired by Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D,” Diacon wrote in the email.

Each of the candidates will hold a virtual presentation open to the public. Those in attendance will be able to ask questions at the conclusion of the presentations and are asked to complete a candidate evaluation survey, the email stated.

McKinley’s presentation is Thursday, April 1 from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

Killy’s presentation is Monday, April 5 from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

Richmond’s presentation is Tuesday, April 6 from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

The search for a new director of athletics comes after current director of athletics, Joel Nielsen, announced Jan. 14 that he will not seek to renew his contract with the university once it expires June 30.
