Women’s golf takes on Lady Buckeyes

The Kent State women’s golf team brought back another title at the tournament in Columbus yesterday. Senior JoseĆ© Doyon tied for second individual performance, shooting two-under for the weekend and leading the team.

Senior Taylor Kim tied for sixth at four-over. Freshman Michaela Finn finished four-over-par, giving her a tie for 11th place. Senior Amira Alexander shot eight-over and junior Wad Phaewchimplee shot 10-over-par. Freshman Kasey Nielsen brought in a 23-over for the tournament.

Freshman Kelly Nielsen played as an individual and finished in a tie for 54th place, coming in at 24-over after three rounds.

The Flashes will compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships next weekend in Indiana seeking an 18th consecutive title.
