Women’s golf takes on Lady Buckeyes

The Kent State women’s golf team brought back another title at the tournament in Columbus yesterday. Senior Joseé Doyon tied for second individual performance, shooting two-under for the weekend and leading the team.

Senior Taylor Kim tied for sixth at four-over. Freshman Michaela Finn finished four-over-par, giving her a tie for 11th place. Senior Amira Alexander shot eight-over and junior Wad Phaewchimplee shot 10-over-par. Freshman Kasey Nielsen brought in a 23-over for the tournament.

Freshman Kelly Nielsen played as an individual and finished in a tie for 54th place, coming in at 24-over after three rounds.

The Flashes will compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships next weekend in Indiana seeking an 18th consecutive title.
