Kent State’s Delta Lambda Phi will host its annual “Green with Envy” drag show on Tuesday in the Kiva.

The event consists of a drag show where attendees can donate to their favorite performers who then donate their “tips” to the philanthropy.

“We’re really excited about Green With Envy this year,” said Delta Lambda Phi President Kyle Dunn. “We’ve got some amazing talent lined up and only 410 seats available.”

The show is a creation of Delta Lambda Phi as a way to give back to the Kent State community, according to Academic Advisor Christopher Clevenger.

“In 2011 the organization was looking for a way to really give back to the Kent State community,” Clevenger said. “We had just celebrated 10 years on campus and wanted to make sure that all students were given the same opportunities we’d been given.”

The Green with Envy event currently benefits an LGBTQ scholarship developed by the fraternity and Delphi Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Delta Lambda Phi, handles the funds. Currently, the chapter needs to raise $10,000 to fully fund the scholarship on an annual basis.

Tickets will be sold for $7 at the door and will be available starting at 6 p.m. The doors to the Kiva will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.
