Water service was restored to the Kent State Student Center Thursday night after crews repaired a water main break in Manchester Field.

According to an update on the university’s advisory website, university maintenance crews were flushing pipes by opening fire hydrants on Midway Drive.

Water in the Student Center and nearby buildings might temporarily be discolored due to the opening and closing of the valves. It is safe to drink, but the university recommends running the water until it is clear.

The Student Center will open as scheduled Friday at 7 a.m.

Students experiencing water issues should contact their RAs or University Facilities Management at 330-672-2345
