New Kent State Stark Dean announced

Kent State University at Stark selected Denise Seachrist as the permanent dean of the regional campus beginning Feb. 1. 

“Kent State University at Stark is very vibrant and exciting place, and I am extremely honored to serve as dean and chief administrative officer,” Seachrist said in an email from Provost Todd Diacon. “I look forward to continuing to promote the campus’ excellent reputation while expanding our partnerships both in the community and globally.”

A native of Columbiana County, Ohio, Seachrist received her Ph.D. in musicology-ethnomusicology from Kent State and a Master of Music in vocal performance from Youngstown State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Heidelberg College.
