Two injured in car accident

Two cars were involved in a car accident on the corner of Loop Road and Jackson Drive Wednesday night.

According to the Kent Police, a grey Ford Taurus went left of center and hit another vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction. Inside of that vehicle was freshman criminology and justice studies Shannon Noark’s family. Her brother Curtis Flavianni suffering minor injuries.

The family along with other witnesses claimed that the driver could have been under the influence, which may have led to the accident.

“That’s what the witnesses may have said,” Sergeant Scritchfield said. “We’ll definitely conduct a further investigation attesting into that to see if they were intoxicated.”

Police say that the driver was transported to the hospital for injuries. A reported was filed and the accident is still under further investigation. No arrested were made.
