The Women’s Center Student Advisory Committee is hosting a Winter Donation Drive now through the end of the fall semester.

Toiletries and clothing for males and females can be dropped off at Lake Hall, Olson Hall, Tri-Towers, Eastway and the Kent Student Center. Donations will be taken to local charities or kept in the Women’s Center to assist individuals in need on campus.

“The Women’s Center Student Advisory Committee is a formal working organization,” Kristina Kamis, a senior psychology major and member of the Advisory Committee. “It was just launched this year, with the purpose of assisting the vision and goal development of the Women’s Center, serving as a resource to the populations we serve, developing new ideas and initiatives to further develop the (center) and serving as role models for other students.”

Clothing donations can be new or gently used. All toiletry donations must be donated in unopened, original packaging.

“With Thanksgiving and winter break approaching, now is the perfect time to clean out your closet and donate your old rarely-worn clothing to individual who will receive better use from them,” Kamis said.
