After a win over Colgate Sunday, Kent State Women’s basketball will seek its second win of the season against (0-1) Wright State.

Wright State comes to Kent State fresh off a loss to the University of Miami (FL), with that being said the Raiders have already seen stiff competition early. Being well tested may give the Raiders a bit of an advantage in this match up.

The Raiders are coming off of a strong year finishing with a record of (25-9), despite losing four starters the team regains RS-Senior Guard Kim Demmings. Demmings who scored her 2,000th point in the team’s first game and also has a career average of 20 points per game; she will be a handful for the Flashes backcourt to slow down.

The Flashes will need to bring play fast, and be efficient in order to win this matchup, as the Raider bring a very similar brand of basketball to the table. The Raiders are able to run and yield a high shooting percentage on a regular basis.

Three Keys for the Flashes victory will be to limit Demmings scoring, win turnover battle, and take smart and efficient shots. The game will move very fast and the more efficient team will come out with the win.

RS-Freshmen Tyra James, predicted a win for the Flashes.

Catch her and the rest of the team in action in Tuesday’s tip off at 11am in the M.A.C. Center.
