Men’s rugby falls to Bowling Green 78-0

Kent State men’s rugby team faced its toughest opponent of the year so far in Bowling Green. The outcome was a 78-0 loss to the Falcons on their home field.

The Flashes were unable to execute their fundamental rugby techniques, Kent’s fly half Ian Brooks said.

Bowling Green always had its players in the right position and that led to more possessions on offense Brooks said.

After Bowling Green lost last week to Western Michigan, Brooks knew it was going to take a lot more out the Flashes to pull the upset over the usually unbeatable Falcons’ team.

Next week the Flashes are on the road again and will take on Ball State University, another Mid-American Conference opponent.
