Women center to hold feminist friday

The Women’s Center will be meeting to discuss and understand feminism together during its monthly meeting this Friday from noon to 1 p.m. for Feminist Friday with its “Witches, B*tches & Hags: Confronting feminist stereotypes” theme in honor of Halloween.

These meetings will be an hour long each month at the Carriage House with the goal being to create a space to develop a call to action.

Leading up to this week’s meeting, students can post a photo to Facebook or Twitter with #KSUFeministFridays of what feminism means to students.

Plans for the future of Feminist Friday at Kent State include: food and finances, women with children, poverty in America, race, identity, the pursuit of equality, the past, present and future of feminisms and eco-feminism. Meetings touching on these topics will be Nov. 20, Feb. 19, Mar. 4 and April 15.
