A two-car accident on S.R. 43 resulted in minor injuries to the drivers despite a flipped car and deployed airbags, city police said.

Officer Drake Oldham said the accident, which happened on the corner of N. Manuta St. and Carthage Ave., occurred because a driver of one of the vehicles rear-ended another stopped automobile. There were only two people involved, one person driving each car, and it remains unknown if either or both of the drivers are Kent State students.

Oldham also added cell phone usage wasn’t the reason the driver didn’t pay close attention to the stopped car.
