Kent State, Ohio State baseball game cancelled due to lighting

Wednesday night’s baseball game between Kent State and Ohio State was cancelled due to a bad lightning storm that moved into the Columbus area Wednesday night.

The game only made it through the fourth inning before being called, and because the players didn’t make it halfway through the game, or the fifth inning, the game will be rescheduled for a later time. The statistics from the first four innings do not count.

No date for a rematch has been determined as of yet.

Kent State (17-11, 6-3 Mid-American Conference) came into the game winners of seven straight and was looking to keep the streak alive against an Ohio State team that is 22-7.

Kent State will next take on Ball State at home for a three-game series starting Friday.
