Two ROTC vans destroyed in fire; arson suspected

Two Kent State ROTC vans were destroyed after they were set on fire in the R3 Terrace Lot at 2:33 a.m. on Monday.

Kent State spokeswoman Emily Vincent said arson is suspected in the incident, which is still under investigation.

Vincent said the university is working with the Ohio State Fire Marshal to investigate the incident. She said no one was injured or hurt.

Colonel Matt Fox said ROTC students were instructed not to wear their uniforms today. The ROTC building will remain locked today. Students are instructed to call their respective ROTC branches to get into the building.
