Kent State will host the fourth annual Scholarship Auction in the M.A.C. Center on April 24 with NFL football player and former Flashes standout Josh Cribs as co-host.

The auction celebrates the athletic, academic and social success of Kent State’s student-athletes. The goal is to repeat last year’s total of $100,000 raised, along with continuing its progressive rise in attendance.

“We went from 180 to 311 people over the past two years,” said Alicia Gaffney, special projects and events associate director. “Our goal is to have at least 350 this year.”

Anyone who purchases a ticket by Feb. 20 will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to a VIP pre-party with Cribbs.

There are more than 100 items up for bid in both the silent and live auctions, including a basketball signed by President Barack Obama.

Tickets for the auction are $100 per person and are available at www.supportgoldenflashes.com/Scholarship_Auction/
