The Office of Global Education will host its first Study Abroad Parent and Student Information Night which will cater to students in the College of Communication and Information. The event will be Wednesday, Oct. 15 in the Moulton Hall Ballroom from 5 to 7 p.m.

“We are going to be sharing information with them, not only about Florence and Geneva, but also about shorter study abroad options as well,” said Sara Sobeh, study abroad advising coordinator for the College of Communication and Information.

Sobeh said they are really trying to make sure the parents of students interested in studying abroad understand how an educational experience overseas can really set them apart from other students. Studying aborad, she said, can give students an advantage over others when looking for jobs in the future.
