Two cars collided at the intersection of Lincoln and Summit streets at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Officer Jared Brown of the Kent Police said the investigation is ongoing, but it appears that a blue Ford failed to yield as it turned left from Summit Street onto Lincoln Street.

Airbags deployed on the other car involved, a white Porsche, but no one was seriously injured in either car.

Taylor DeMur, senior sign language major, witnessed the crash and said crashes often happen at that intersection.

“Just sitting on our porch watching traffic, one (the blue car) was taking a left onto South Lincoln, the blue car, and the white car was going north on Summit,” she said. “I’m not sure if their light was changing or anything, but looked up and boom there it was.”

Officers directed traffic at the intersection as they investigated the crash, which was being cleared away at about 3:40 p.m.
