After two losses to Mid-American Conference opponents at the M.A.C. Center last weekend, the Kent State volleyball team goes back on the road to take on the Western Michigan Broncos Friday and the Northern Illinois Huskies Saturday.

The Flashes currently are fourth in the MAC East Division standings with an even 4-4 record against conference opponents. Their last game resulted in a loss to the Toledo Rockets in four sets on their home court during the Dig For The Cure event.

Kent State opens up the weekend against the Broncos (12-9, 5-3 MAC), which are tied for second with the Rockets in the MAC West Division. The Broncos swept the Akron Zips and the Buffalo Bulls in straight sets last weekend.

The Huskies (12-10, 4-4 MAC) broke a three-match losing streak with a four-set win against the Zips last Saturday. NIU is in fourth place in the MAC West.

The Flashes are moving into the final stretch of their schedule with just eight games remaining. Out of those eight, five are against MAC East opponents.

Friday’s game against the Broncos will begin at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game against the Huskies will begin at 8 p.m.
