A car accident on Summit St. temporarily closed the road this afternoon.

Lt. Edwards of the Kent fire department said the accident resulted from one vehicle rear-ending the other in front of the Research One Building. There were two minor injuries. No one was transported to the hospital.

The road was reopened as of 3:30 p.m.
