KIC meets to benefit on-campus residents

Kent Interhall Council began holding its weekly meetings Sept. 3, and will continue to meet every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Governance Chambers.

KIC president Christine Francisco, senior computer animation major, said the group’s main purpose is to make sure students are happy and comfortable with their Kent State experience. The weekly meetings include representatives from most major offices on campus to help resolve any issues that may arise and also to answer questions.

“We’re the governing and programming body of the residence halls. So we do the large-scale programming that you see as well as advocacy. If a student feels like there’s something not right in their residence hall, they can come to us and we can make proposals to the department,” Francisco said.

If students have issues they wish to discuss with the council about problems in their residence halls, KIC has open office hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. located in the Tri-Towers rotunda.
