The painting of decorative streetlight poles in the city of Kent began this week and is expected to continue until Oct. 10.

The streets affected are:

Main St. between Gougler and Depeyster

Franklin Ave. between Summit and Main

Water St. between Haymaker Parkway and Columbus

College Ave., Erie St. and Alley No. 9 between Franklin and Water

Traffic signal support poles at the intersections of Main and Water St., and Main and Depeyster St. are also to be painted.

Jim Bowling, city engineer, said traffic will be maintained on the streets, however, drivers should expect minor delays. Parking spaces will also be closed
