KSU Enrollment Increase

The university’s official 15th data census was released today and Kent State University’s enrollment increased with record all-time high numbers. The eight-campus system has 42,513 students enrolled.

Kent State’s retention is also up 4.3 percent in Undergraduate Studies. The number of applications are up from 21,736 for fall 2012, compared to 12,916 applications for fall 2008.

The Geauga Regional Campus’s enrollment is up 3.34 percent with 1,548. The graduate enrollment also increased to 10.5 percent. International student enrollment is up 19.1 percent to 2,217 students compared to 1,498 in 2011.

T. David Garcia, Kent State’s associate vice president for enrollment management, said the university has been working on the quality of its students over the past few years.
