English photographer Mike McCartney, brother of Paul McCartney, is scheduled to lecture at the Trumbull branch of the Butler Institute of American Art on July 12 at 7 p.m.

The lecture is part of the Kent State Thomas Schroth Lecture Series. McCartney will also be touring the Kent campus earlier in the day. Reserve tickets for the lecture are available by phone, while non reserved seating is first come, first served and is free to the public.

“This is a huge deal for Kent State,” said Effie Tsengas, communications and marketing director for the College of the Arts. “We’re honored to have him.”

His exhibit “North Highlands,” featured only in the United Kingdom thus far, will be on display July 13 through September 2 at The Butler Institute of American Art’s Trumbull branch in Howland Township.
