The Kent Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center began selling tickets for the Bill Cosby comedy show 8:00 a.m. June 14, and the show sold out in less than four hours.

“It’s always great to have someone of that caliber coming down here,” Mike Morelli, general manager of the Performing Arts Center said. “He is an icon. He’s a household name. It’s hard to get bigger than Bill Cosby.”

The Performing Arts Center has 1,100 seats, and has sold out shows every season since its first. It has never sold out in such a short time, though, Morelli said.

The center has been trying to book Cosby for a show since its opening in November 2010.
