Financial Aid Office to offer FAFSA help

The Financial Aid Office will have a “Financial Aid to Go” table 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday on the first floor of the Student Center. Two financial aid representatives will be present to answer questions about completing the FAFSA.

“We like to try to get out as early as possible before the FAFSA priority deadline of Feb. 15,” said Sylvia Bustard, assistant director of student financial aid. “Many people don’t even realize they have to complete the FAFSA every year, so our presence there reminds them of that.”

By submitting the FAFSA by the priority deadline, a student has an “increased chance” of receiving campus-funded financial aid, she said.

Bustard said representatives at “Financial Aid to Go” will also share information about scholarships, grants and summer financial aid. They will be in the Student Center at the same time Feb. 8 and 9.
