Kent State is not quite packing up the long-time reputation as a suitcase campus. However, progress is being made and more students opt out of going home on the weekends.

One reason is programs like “What’s Up Kent State?” that promote on-campus activities Thursday through Sunday. Concerts, student organized events, movies and more can all be found in the “What’s Up Kent State?” calendar or at the bottom of Flashline.

The program is still in its infant stages but hoping to reach more students. The goal is an anti-suitcase campus initiative for a real college campus experience.
